Who is responsible

Sober Orb is provided by KUROMNIS LTD, trading through PositiveAI. KUROMNIS LTD is responsible for the personal data described in this notice.

What the app records

To provide Sober Orb, we may process:

  • a randomly generated Firebase identifier;
  • your current and best alcohol-free streak;
  • alcohol-free and alcohol-use records, with their dates;
  • your starting point, check-in history and reminder preference;
  • limited app-version, reliability and product-interaction information; and
  • anything you choose to include when contacting support.

The app does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, precise location, payment details or advertising identifier. It does not create a public profile.

Why we use it

Provide and back up Sober Orb

We use journey information to show your progress, preserve your records and restore the service. This is necessary to provide the app you choose to use.

Keep the beta reliable and secure

We use limited technical and interaction information to diagnose faults, protect the service and understand whether the core experience works. Our legitimate interest is operating a safe, reliable product without advertising or profiling.

Respond to you

If you contact us, we use your message and contact details to answer the request and keep a proportionate record of the correspondence.

Where information is stored

Journey information is stored on your device and backed up using Google Firebase, which acts as our cloud service provider. Firebase may process information outside the United Kingdom under its applicable contractual and transfer safeguards.

We do not sell your information. Sober Orb has no advertising, cross-app tracking, peer matching or public community. Information may be disclosed if required by law or to protect the security and rights of users or the service.

Retention and deletion

Journey data is retained while the anonymous service identity remains active. You can use Erase All My Data inside Sober Orb to remove the known app records and anonymous service identity. This is intended to be permanent and cannot be undone.

Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to answer and document the request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection. Email us using the address on this page. Because the app does not know your name or email, we may need information from your device to identify the anonymous record securely.

In the UK, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Security, age and wellbeing

Access to cloud records is authenticated and database rules are designed to restrict each anonymous user to their own records. No online system can promise absolute security.

Sober Orb is intended for adults and is a reflective habit-support tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or emergency care.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when Sober Orb or its data practices change and will revise the effective date shown above. Material changes will be communicated appropriately.
